Irene Doss

DOSS, Irene W. Age 88 died November 3, 2008, A BellSouth retiree since 1983 and a member of Grace Baptist Church, she resided at Maybelle Carter Senior Adult Community since 2004. Preceded in death by husband, X.L. Doss; parents, Jordan and Bertie Gourley Whitaker; brothers and sisters Edward "Buddy" Whitaker, Christine Broadrick, Harold "Tom" Whitaker, Monroe "Buck" Whitaker, Clara Poole, Herbert "Bill" Whitaker, Carl Dean "Sam" Whitaker, and Eugene "Gene" Whitaker. A brother Lonnie Ray Whitaker and sister, Lola Mae Adams are her only surviving siblings. Survived by son, Jerry Doss and wife Sylvia Doss of Glendale, KY; four grandchildren, Debra Fisher, Beverly Goebel, Michelle Jackson, and Joseph Doss, and seven great-grandchildren. Visitation will be at Cole & Garrett Funeral Home Goodlettsville Wednesday from 4-8 pm, and Thursday November 6, from 11 am until service time at 2 pm, with Bro. Jim Poole, Brother Courtney Wilson, and Bro. Andre Dugger, officiating. Interment Hillcrest Cemetery White House.
