Howard Humble Sr.

Howard Franklin Humble Sr., 84, of Hendersonville passed away on September 19, 2006. He was preceded in death by his parents, Selby and Mabel Humble, Brothers, Ellis Humble, Joseph Foree, and Sister, Lucille Humble Ramsey. He is survived by his wife; Anna "Frankie" Frances Follis Humble of Hendersonville, Son; Howard Cyndy Moore Humble Jr. of Fairfax, VA, Grandson, Travis Holly Jackson Humble of Knoxville, Granddaughter, Laura LeAnne Humble of North Carolina, Great Grandson Henry Hite Humble, Brother, Ted Humble of Florida, Sister, Jo Ann Murphy of Nashville. Mr. Humble retired from the L & N Railroad after 47 years, served in the U.S. Army during WWII on active duty for three years, and the reserves for twelve years. He was a member of the John B. Garrett Masonic Lodge #711 and a member of the Hendersonville VFW Post# 9851. He was an active member of the Hendersonville First United Methodist Church where he served in the Choir, a member of the Companions Sunday School Class, a member of the Missions Team, and Room at the Inn. Funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 PM, Friday, September, 22, 2006 at Hendersonville First United Methodist Church with Rev. Ben Alexander and Dr. Michael Williams officiating. Interment will follow in the Gallatin Memory Gardens at Crestview. Active pallbearers will be, Bob Strobel, Ray Turner, Jerry Taylor, Larry Hewgley, Lowell Rakestraw, and Loren Andrews. Visitation will be on Friday, September, 22, 2006 from 12 Noon until service time at the Hendersonville First United Methodist Church. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the "Mission Team" at First United Methodist Church, 217 E. Main Street, Hendersonville, TN 37075.
