Hessie Ann Reasoner, 74, passed away Tuesday, September 11, 2019. Born in Nashville December 2, 1944, Hessie was the daughter of the late Barney Edward Reasoner II and Pearl (Binkley) Reasoner. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Nancy Peak. Hessie worked as a seamstress and upholsterer at Stratus and Javelin Boat manufacture. She had previously worked as a seamstress in the clothing industry and also at Senior Lab (photography lab). Hessie was a devoted mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother and aunt who was known to be a cut-up and always fun and perhaps a little sassy at times. Her family knew her to be the glue that kept them all together. She could always be counted on, and loved the family gatherings. She was a tough lady and strong woman. A great listener, she always gave out good advice and guidance when needed or asked for. Among the things she loved in no certain order were Elvis, crab legs, and the beach. Above all else she loved her Lord and Savior. Hessie leaves to cherish her memory, her children, Susan Colson, Jackie Peak, and Wayne Key; her grandchildren, Michael Ferrell, Amanda Ferrell, Jet Colson and wife Kayla, Abbie Knobloch and husband Bob, Kate Colson, Austin Colson and wife Kim, Chris Peak, Grant Irwin, Lexi Key and Aaron Price; her great-grandchildren, Hope Vaughn, James Vaughn, Thea Colson, Hazel Colson, Titus Colson, Graham Knobloch, Autumn Vaughn, Tommy Peak, and Brycen Irwin; her siblings John L. Reasoner, Elsie Faye Myers and Kenneth Ray Reasoner; and many nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly. Visitation for Hessie will be held at Cole & Garrett Funeral Home, Goodlettsville on Saturday from 4 until 8 PM and Sunday from 12 noon until 1 PM. A celebration of her life will be held Sunday at 1 PM at the funeral home officiated by her son-in-law, Walter Colson and followed by interment at Reasoner Cemetery. Acting as pallbearers will be her grandsons, Jet, Austin, Aaron, Grant, Chris, and Michael.
