Herman Whited

WHITED, Herman Z. – Age 84 of Gallatin passed away August 7, 2013 at home surrounded by his loving family. Mr. Whited was born August 22, 1928 in Louisville, KY to the late Mr. & Mrs. Albert N. & Lillie B. Whited. He moved to Tennessee at the age of 7 where he spent his childhood. He was a true patriot to his country serving in the United States Navy during the Korean War. He was a retiree of DuPont where he served for 28 years. He was a faith based man that attended church at Nashville Road Church of Christ. He was a kind, loving, generous man with a good sense of humor. He enjoyed puzzle books, jigsaw puzzles, reading his Bible and The Tennessean, but most of all being with his family. He was a great man that loved to serve, that will be deeply missed. Preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers; 1 sister. Survived by his loving wife of 15 & 1/2 years, Lillian M. Whited; 4 children; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, beloved pet, Mandy. A Life Celebration will be held 12pm Saturday at Crestview Funeral Home with Bro Frank Matherly officiating.
