DENNY, Helen L. "MeMe"- Age 91 of Hendersonville formerly of Cookeville passed away on August 28, 2012. MeMe was a very optimistic, resilient woman. She was a mother, grandmother & great-grandmother that was truly devoted to her family. She enjoyed sewing, birds, flowers, cooking, traveling & most of all her family. She was faith based woman that attended church at Hendersonville First United Methodist Church for the last 20 years. She was also a member of The Companion's Class & Love and Concerns Circle. Preceded in death by her husband, John Henry Denny. Survived by her adoring children, Hugh W. Denny Marguerite, Rebecca A. Judy, Jean A. Durchik, David Denny & daughter –in – law, Kathy Denny; 8 grandchildren, Jennifer Duncan Eric, Melinda Higgins Roger, Jannette Morris Barry, Tanya Gilmore Joshua, Susan Lazaro Frank, Nicole Petrosky Alec, Ashley Denny & Rebecca Jean Denny; 8 great-grandchildren; sisters, Jean Trimm & Joan Smith. A Life Celebration will be held 11am Saturday September 8, 2012 at Hendersonville Funeral Home with Pastor Lynn Hinkley officiating. Burial to follow 3:30pm at Cookeville City Cemetery. Honorary Pallbearers will be members of her Companion's Class.
