Hansel Davenport, Sr.

In honor of “Hansel Ray Davenport Sr.” of Goodlettsville, TN. He passed away on Saturday night, February 12th at 11:45. He was known for his construction work around the area for years. He has layed at peace after a hard battle with chronic organ failure. He was the son of the late “Amos and Martha Davenport” with which he was reunited again. His daughter Jocelyn Yvonne, also two brothers Ricky and Willie Davenport along with 6 sisters, “Ruby, Gwenlyn, Bobby, Joe Frances, Debra and Wilma”. In life he has left 3 children, “Hansel Davenport Jr., Sheila Compton and Kimberly Davenport.” Grandchildren he left “Jacob, Breanna, Dillon, Travis, Brittany, Kayla, McKinsey and Heath”. Also 13 Great grandchildren “Willow, Elli, Curtis, Awbriegh, Lexi, Jayden, Jackson, Krissa, Mariah, Maleah, Daymin Ray, Aliyah Malay and the newest member Nyla Danielle.” Hansel was known to be a devoted parent and grandparent and also a devoted husband for 28 years to “Barbara Davenport” who is also a survivor. The services to celebrate Hansel’s life and accomplishments will be held at Cole & Garrett Funeral Home, Goodlettsville, TN , Sunday, February 20th at 2 PM. Visitation will be held from 12 until 2 PM. Burial will be at Joelton Hills Memory Gardens, Joelton, TN.
