George William Birdwell, February 1, 2017, age 83 of Old Hickory. Preceded in death by his daughter, Laura Jane Womack; son-in-law, Steve Bell; siblings, Hazel Fullerton Lane, Joe Birdwell, and Jean Pilkerton. Survived by his wife of 60 years, Norma Jean Birdwell; daughter, Donna Lisa Bell; grandchildren, William Brent Womack, Michael Brandon Womack, Kaitlyn Jean Bell, Karli Faith Bell; seven great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be at Cole & Garrett Funeral Home, Goodlettsville Friday from 4-8pm, and Saturday from 1pm until service time at 2pm with interment to follow at Hermitage Memorial Gardens. The family would like the thank Alive Hospice for all the care they provided to George and his family during the past two years he was in their care.
