Gaye Tabor

TABOR, Gaye, age 80, former long time resident of Oak Ridge and Cookeville native, passed away February 15, 2009 in Nashville. Mrs. Tabor was a loving mother and a devout Christian. She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Bill Tabor; sons, Dr. Mike Karen Tabor, and Tom Tabor; grandson, Drs. Jayson Mary Beth Tabor; granddaughter, Missy Steve Terjung; great-granddaughters, Ellie Paige, Anna Grace, Audrey Kate, and Madeline Estelle; brothers, Bob Mitzi Wilhite, and Tom Charlene Wilhite; sister, Mildred Ben Jackson; beloved pet, Tipper; and devout caregiver, Carolyn Reed. Family and friends will serve as active pallbearers. Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, February 18, 2009 at 7:00 P.M. from the Chapel of West Harpeth Funeral Home with Rev. Chuck Tabor and Rev. Paul Tabor officiating. Graveside services will be conducted on Thursday, February 19, 2009 at 11:00 A.M. at the Cookeville City Cemetery in Cookeville, TN. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Billy Graham Evangelical Association. The family would like to say a special thanks to the staff of Richland Place.
