Eva Dow Hanberry

Eva Dow Hanberry, a beloved member of her community, passed away on September 10, 2025, at the age of 95. Born on October 30, 1929, Eva lived a life filled with warmth, kindness, and an unwavering spirit that touched many hearts throughout her years. Eva was preceded in death by her cherished husband, Bobby Hanberry, who was a fundamental part of her life. She was also preceded by her parents, Edward and Irena Ezzell, her brother, J.L. Ezzell, and her sisters, Nellie Ruth Perrigo and Elaine Ballou, all of whom she held dear. She is survived by her loving sister, Ira Faye Gregory. In addition, her family includes her nieces, Susan Ezzell and Gail Goodall, and her nephews, Phil Ballou, Mark Ballou, and Tom Ezzell. 

Eva's life will be honored with a visitation on September 14, 2025, from 12:30 PM to 2:00 PM, followed by a funeral service commencing at 2:00 PM, both held at Cole & Garrett Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Goodlettsville, TN. Eva will then be laid to rest during an interment at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens in Goodlettsville, TN, beginning at 3:00 PM.

Through her legacy of love and perseverance, Eva Dow Hanberry will be remembered fondly by all who knew her and will be deeply missed by her family and friends. Her family has asked that donations be sent to her church, Bethel Primitive Baptist Church.
