Eugene Sullins, Sr.

SULLINS, Eugene Martin, Sr. age 88 of Hendersonville, passed away at Hendersonville Medical Center on January 27, 2011. Mr. Sullins was a veteran of the United States Coast Guard, retired from Ford Glass Plant in Nashville, TN after 25 years of service; a member of Hendersonville Church of Christ and former long-time member of Riverside church of Christ in Nashville, TN. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Eli Sullins & Bessie Scoggins Sullins and brothers S.T. Sullins and Alton Sullins. He is survived by his beloved and devoted wife of 65 years, Lassie Cunningham Sullins; sons Eugene Martin Sullins, Jr. Carol, James Thomas Sullins; granddaughter, Meredith Adelle Sullins fiancé Jonathan Scruggs; grandson, Sean Puhl; great-grandchildren, Garrett and Madison Puhl. He is also survived by brothers, Joe Sullins Bertha Nell, Walter Sullins Esther; sister, Juanita Roberson Guy, many nieces, nephews, and brothers and sisters in-law. Cannot overlook the support from longtime friends Joe and Dr. Marie Kelly and Tom and Brenda Fussell. Funeral services will be conducted on Monday, January 31st at 1:00 p.m. from the Chapel of Hendersonville Funeral Home with Guy Roberson officiating. Visitation with the family will be on Sunday from 4-8 p.m. and Monday from 11 a.m. until service time at HENDERSONVILLE MEMORY GARDENS AND FUNERAL HOME 615824-3855
