Eugene O'Dell Akers Sr., age 96, passed away August 3, 2017. He is survived by wife Elaine Akers, daughter Anita Akers-Smith, sons Gary and Eugene Jr. Akers, and stepson Edward Lampley. Also survived by grandchildren, Jared and Nicholas, May Kay (Micheal), Vickie (Thomas), Sierra, Savannah, Sedona, Sage and 3 great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held at Cole & Garrett Funeral Home, Goodlettsville Sunday from 4-8 p.m. Chapel service is Monday at 12 noon. Interment to follow at Fellowship Cemetery in Allons, TN. Memorial Service will be held at 12:30 p.m. on August 13, 2017 at Goodlettsville Faith Presbyterian Church.
