Etta Owen

OWEN, Etta Margaret Worsham. January 20, 2009. Born November 23, 1915 in Shackle Island, Tennessee. She is survived by her son, James Robert Owen, Jr. (Alana); two daughters, Patricia (David) Wells and Susan (Buddy) Lane; ten grandchildren, and twelve great-grandchildren. Etta was a devoted wife, mother, homemaker and superior seamstress. She and her husband Jim were avid square dancers. She was a member of the Hendersonville First United Methodist Church. She was also a member of the Beech Nuts Rook Club for many years. Visitation will be at Cole & Garrett Funeral Home Hendersonville Friday from 6-8 pm. Chapel service will be held Saturday January 24, at 11 am. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Foundation for Fighting Blindness, 11435 Cronhill Dr. Owings Mills, MD 21117, or Alive Hospice, 1718 Patterson St., Nashville, TN 37203.
