Ellen Johnson

JOHNSON, Ellen Anne Prater Hitchcock, beloved mother, daughter, wife, and friend, died August 2, 2010 at age 66. A Nashville native, she resided in Goodlettsville and had retired from a career in newspaper advertising. She is deeply loved and will be dearly missed by her family and by her many friends. Her warm smile, cheerful personality, and fun-loving nature were an inspiration to many. She was preceded in death by her mother, Dorothy Wood Prater. Survived by her husband, Gary Johnson; sons, Dr. Daniel R. and Jeffrey K. Hitchcock; father, Peter G. Prater; step-daughter, Amy Manzanares (Demian); and the father of her sons, Kimball Russ Hitchcock. Also survived by her two beloved maltese Shaggy and Katie Belle. Visitation will be at Cole & Garrett Funeral Home in Goodlettsville on Thursday from 4-8 pm. Graveside service will be 10 am Saturday August 7 at Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
