Elaine Ballou

Elaine Ezzell Ballou, age 94, of Goodlettsville, Tn passed away on February 6th, 2023, at Brightmoor Hospice in Newnan, Ga. She was born on February 24th, 1928, in Red Bay, AL to the late Edward Ezzell and Irena Malone. Elaine was also preceded in death by her husband of over 50 years, Gayle Ballou, and brother, JL Ezzell.

She is survived by her two sons, Phillip and Mark Ballou both of Newnan, GA; three sisters Nellie Perrigo of Goodlettsville, TN, Eva Hanberry of Nashville, TN, and Faye Gregory of Lafayette, TN; three grandchildren Chelsea, Brock, William, six great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Elaine was a devoted member of New Bethal Missionary Baptist Church, where she played the piano for more than 40 years. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother.

A Celebration of Life will be held Wednesday, February 8th, 2023, 1:30pm at Cole and Garrett Funeral Home in Goodlettsville. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens in Goodlettsville. The family will receive friends on Wednesday during a Visitation at 12:30pm prior to her Celebration of Life.
