Edward Ray “Eddie” Keen, 65, of Goodlettsville passed away June 28, 2021. Born June 7, 1956 in Madison, TN he was the son of the late Woodrow Wilson Keen and Ora Mae Helton Keen. Eddie was also preceded in death by a sister, Edith Doris, a brother, Woodrow “Woody” Keen and also by Sidney and Cooper his fur babies. Eddie was retired as a firefighter engineer with the Metro Fire Department. He had served on the fire department for 35 years and had worked at numerous stations during his career. He loved sports and was an avid Vanderbilt Commodores fan. He also enjoyed the Tennessee Titans, the Nashville Predators, and Nascar racing. When he was younger he would camp at the nascar races that he attended. He loved his family and was known to have a “big heart”. Eddie also loved his dog, Simon and the other fur babies he and his wife had. Eddie is survived by his wife of twenty two years, Wanda Fay Dismang Keen; his sisters, Donna May Redding, Mary Alice Auberson (David), Ruby Louise Jackson, and Martha Ann Dismang; his brothers, Arthur “Dick” Keen, Jerry Lee Keen, and Johnny Keen (Dee); several nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, extended family members and a host of friends. He is also survived by Libby Dismang, his sister-in-law who was more like another sister to him. Visitation will be held at Cole & Garrett Funeral Home, Goodlettsville on Tuesday, July 6th from 4 until 7 pm and Wednesday, July 7th from 11 am until the service at noon. A life celebration service will be held for Eddie at 12 noon on Wednesday, July 7th at the funeral home, officiated by Brother John Murray and followed by interment at Forest Lawn Cemetery. Acting as pallbearers will be Reggie Hampton, Buddy Goad, Bubba Auberson, Richard Norris, Tommy Norris and Jessie Norris. Honorary pallbearers will be Lil Jerry Keen, Sammy Jr. “Bigman” Dismang, Jeremy Dismang, Justin Norris and Dean Birdwell.
