Dolores M. "Dee" Hurst, 69, of White House passed away surrounded by her loving family, Sunday, April 1, 2018 at Vanderbilt Medical Center. Born in Racine, WI, October 17, 1948 to the late John Strauss and Dolores (Hansen) Thrall. She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband Charles C. Hurst; 5 children Terry (Maryette) Pedersen, Jason (Stacy) Jesperson, Leeann (Todd) Farber, Lyndsey Jesperson Steen and James Jesperson Jr. A sister Beth (Brad) Freburg; and brother Tracy (Jamie) Thrall along with 13 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren and many nieces and a nephew. Dee was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She had a strong will and was known to be a fighter both in personality and also in action. Dee achieved black belt status in two karate disciplines and was ranked as number 1 in the nation for her 50+ age group. She and her husband Charles had resided in White House for the past 35 years. Dolores was preceded in death by her parents, Aunt June Danake and great grand daughter Brookelyn Moore. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at Cole & Garrett Funeral Home, White House on Saturday, April 14th at 2 pm. A visitation hour will be held from 1 - 2 pm immediately prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in the name Dolores Hurst. www.stjude.org
