Daisy Genelle Purvis, 73, passed away Tuesday, February 13, 2018 at the Medical Center of Bowling Green. Daisy was born January 16, 1945 in MaGee, MS, to the late Benson and Mary (Thames) Speed. She was a member of the Goodwater Baptist Church while living in McGee. Daisy was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt. Family was at the center of importance to her. She loved to cook and spend time with her grandchildren. She also enjoyed gardening, her trips to New Orleans and music, especially Southern Gospel. In addition to her family, she loved her dog - Gizmo. Daisy leaves to cherish her memory, her husband, Jim Purvis; her daughter, Tonya (Seth) Hopkins; her son, Jay Purvis and his significant other, Hubbell; Daisey's grandchildren, Zach Moore, Alysse Purvis, and Lillie Hopkins; her sister, Debbie Kasserman; her sister-in-law, Janette Knowles; and daughter-in-law, Meladie. Visitation for Daisy will be held Saturday from 10 AM to 2 PM at Temple Baptist Church, 117 Marlin Road, White House. A Life Celebration Service will be at 2 PM in church followed by burial at Hillcrest Cemetery.
