Cynthia L. Brummett, 81, of Goodlettsville, Tennessee, passed away on Sunday, February 18, 2024. Born August 23, 1942, in Nashville, she was the daughter of the late James Newton Stamps and Zada Mae Head Stamps.
She was a member of Faith Baptist Church in Madison. Cynthia was a retired optician having worked locally for Milam’s Optical, Pearle Vision, and Lens Crafters. She found great joy in being a grandmother and great grandmother.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings Howard Stamps, Foy Stamps, Vernon Stamps, Maryanne Smith, Mildred Castleman, Christine Stamps, and Doug Stamps.
She is survived by her sons Terry Roberts, Steve Roberts, and Brandon Brummett; brother Larry (Dixie) Stamps; grandchildren Deanna (Randy) Bone, Jason (Susan) Hankins, Steven Roberts, Brian Roberts, Caitlyn Brummett and Carrigan Brummett; numerous great and great-great grandchildren; former husband and companion Vernon Brummett; longtime friends Brenda, Denise, and Sonia; and a host of extended family members; additionally she is survived by Lisa and Nicole whose friendship and love endured.
Visitation will be from 4pm until 8pm on Wednesday, February 21 at Cole & Garrett Funeral Home in Goodlettsville. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 1pm on Thursday at the funeral home. The family will welcome friends and visitors 2 hours prior to the funeral. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park.
