Charles Downs

Charles Downs age 71 of Hendersonville, passed away May 19, 2009. Mr. Downs was a lifelong resident of Hendersonville and a member of the Hendersonville Church of Christ. He retired from the Methodist Publishing Company. He was preceded in death by his son, Chuck Downs. He is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Janice Poe Downs; his daughter, Lisa Dale Harris, and his grandchildren, Ellie and Emmie Harris. Funeral services will be conducted 2 P.M., Thursday, May 21, 2009 from the Hendersonville Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in Hendersonville Memory Gardens. Visitation with the Downs family will be held from 2 P.M until 8 P.M., Wednesday, May 20, 2009 at the Hendersonville Funeral Home. Jerry Jarrett, Charles R. Parks, Jimmy Smith, Randy West, Bob Cook, Robert Hall, Jerry Johnson and Kenny Webb will serve as pallbearers. Eddie Marlin, Tom Horn, Larry Graham, Jack Jarrard, Jim Harris, Joe Brunner, Jerry Robinson, Sammy Stoutt, Ike Omahondro and the One Heart Group will act as honorary pallbearers.
