Mrs. Cathy Louise Huffines, 65, of Cottontown, passed away on Saturday, September 8, 2018 at Skyline Medical Center. She was born on May 19, 1953 to the late Milton and Effie Hale. She is also preceded in death by one brother, Earl Hale; and one sister, Leela Oden.
Cathy loved being outside. She loved gardening, flowers, her fishing pond outside of her house, and just being outside. She was also an avid lover of all sports but Tennessee Titans were her favorite. She enjoyed being with her family and loved her grandchildren with her whole heart.
Cathy is survived by her husband of 46 years, Robert Huffines; daughter, Wendy Swift (Cary); grandchildren, Brittany Schmidt and Austin Swift; great grandchildren, Kaydence and Vera Swift; sisters, Evelyn Covington and Gladys Andrews.
A life celebration will be held 2pm Thursday, September 13, 2018 in the chapel of Cole and Garrett Funeral Home in White House. Family will receive friends from 3-8pm on Wednesday and again from 12-2pm prior to the service. Burial will follow at White House Memorial.
