Poe, Carolyn Lee of Cleveland, died at Gallatin, Tennessee October 10, 2005 at the age of 63. Born in Dockery, Mississippi on October 16, 1941, to the late Wilbur and Ruth Hood Poe. She was a 1959 graduate of Cleveland High School, and 1970 graduate of Delta State University. She served in the United States Marine Corp from 1960 to 1962, and was retired after serving 30-years with BellSouth. She was a member of the BellSouth Telephone Pioneers of America, Mississippi Chapter No. 36, and a member of the BellSouth Clown Troop. Also, she was a member of the National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution, John Nolen Chapter. Three sisters survive her, Elizabeth Smithhart Richard of Mansfield, TX, Mary Boteilho of Santa Rosa, CA, and Opal Poe MacLeod Carl of Hendersonville, TN. Also, one brother Will Poe Denise of Vicksburg, MS; and four nephews, three nieces, one great niece and three great nephews. Visitation will be at Ray's Funeral Home, Wednesday, October 12, from 2:00 to 9:00pm. Funeral Services will be held at Our Lady of Victories Catholic Church, Cleveland, MS, at 2:00pm., Thursday, October 13, 2005. Interment at Lehrton Cemetery in Ruleville, MS. Pallbearers are Ray Cothran, Henry Esch, Carl MacLeod, Richard Smithhart, David Smithhart, and Greg Smithhart.
