Nashville, TN - Carole Patricia Farris, 82, of Nashville, Tennessee, passed away on Friday, March 6th, 2026 at Brookdale Senior Living Facility.

Carole Patricia Farris was the daughter of Charlotte “Pat” Magnani and George “Mac” Mowatt, and was born on June 3rd, 1943. She grew up in Lynn Massachusetts (5 miles south of Salem) with her brother Paul Mowatt. Carole was a graduate of Amesbury High School in Massachusetts, and received an associates degree from Aquinas College in Nashville, Tennessee.

In the late 1960s, Carole and her family moved to Nashville, settling just north of downtown in Old Hickory, and later moving to Madison.

After moving to Nashville, she became a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church where she served as a patrol mother for many years, followed by Metro Nashville 911 where she worked as an emergency dispatcher for 22 years.

Carole was a great lover of the musical arts, and worked both for the Tennessee Performing Arts Center (over 30 years) and The Nashville Symphony (12 years), spoiling many friends and family members with tickets to various musicals and concerts.

Carole is survived by her brother Paul Mowatt (Phoenix, AZ), sister Donna Magnani (Lynn, MA), and children Christopher Farris (Nashville, TN) and Lisa Acred (Irmo, South Carolina). Carole was the grandmother of several, including Kira Cleveland, Amirah Bare, Brynna Farris-McManus, Stephen Rule, Matthew Rule, and 10 great-grandchildren.
