Bobby Mullinax

Bobby Dean Mullinax, age 84, of Gallatin, TN, dedicated father and grandfather, passed peacefully on Sunday, September 25, 2022, under the loving care of Alive Hospice with his daughter by his side. He was a graduate of DuPont High School, served four years in the United States Army Reserve; he was employed at the DuPont plant in Old Hickory, TN, and retired after 38 years. Following retirement, he spent time driving cars for Enterprise.

Bobby was a member of First Baptist Church Goodlettsville. He loved the Lord, cherished his granddaughters, guarded and guided his family always! Those that knew him, know that riding a motorcycle on an open highway brought him such joy—never once did he lose that desire to ride!

Preceded in death by his wife, Juanita Faye Grice Mullinax, of whom they had celebrated 53 years of marriage prior to her passing; in addition, Bobby is preceded in death by his parents, Harry Omer Mullinax and Thelma Douglas Mullinax; three sisters: Evelyn Skelton Yoeman, Ella Lee Leavell, and Wrenza Lou Jordan.

Bobby is survived by his son, Gregory D. Mullinax of Dallas, TX, his daughter Kathy Lee Mullinax Decker and her husband, John Decker, Jr. of Gallatin, TN; granddaughters and son-in-law, whom he loved dearly: Allyson Lee Decker Short and her sweet husband Austin Short, of Hendersonville, TN, and Taylor McCall Decker, of Nashville, TN.

Gathering of family and friends Thursday September 29, 2022, from 4:00-8:00pm and Friday, September 30, 2022, from 9:00-11:00am at Cole and Garrett Funeral Home. Celebration of Life at 11:00am led by Bro. Lyle Larson and Bro. Alan Sircy.
