Betty Walker

WALKER, Betty Jean age 76, passed away December 15, 2008. She was preceded in death by her parents, George & Viola Walker. She is survived by her sister, Annette Walker; double first cousins, Jack (Emily) & Paul (Joyce) Walker; close friends, Garry & Reba Nash and Joe Bentley. Betty graduated from Goodlettsville High School and from Baptist Hospital School of Nursing in Nashville. She received her BS from St. Joseph�'s College in Maine. She worked as an RN at Baptist Hospital from graduation to retirement, many of those years as a nursing supervisor. After retirement, she worked for the city of Goodlettsville, organizing and leading a Senior Day Care Program. Betty was a member of Connell Memorial United Methodist Church and a member of the Goodlettsville Senior Spirits. Thanks to Dr. Phillip Wines and staff for their special care. Visitation will be Wednesday from 11 to 2pm & 5 to 7pm. Services will be held 10am Thursday at Cole & Garrett Funeral Home with Rev. Paul E. Gardner officiating.
