Betty Lou "B" McClain, 78, of Cottontown, passed away Wednesday, February 12, 2020 at Alive Hospice in Nashville. Born April 16, 1941 in Kingsport, TN, she was the daughter of the late William R. Ford and Mary (Hamilton) Ford. She was also preceded in death by a brother, James W. Ford. Betty was retired from Haury & Smith Contractors where she had worked for many years as an accountant. She had previously worked for Mid-South Electric. In her retirement she worked for the Sumner County Board of Education and in the area of elder care. A longtime member of the Station Camp Baptist Church she enjoyed her many years singing in the church choir and had a deep love her church and church family. Betty was devoted to her own family and loved being able to be around family and friends at any opportunity. She is survived by her son, Jack R. McClain; her daughter, Robin (James) Haley; her sister, Joyce Rambo; her grandson Corey Pauze'; her granddaughter, Kayla Pauze'; her great-granddaughter, Illa Grace; her nephew, Brandon (Amanda) Rambo; her great-nephews and great-niece, Wyat, Hoyt and Iley; and her niece Kristi Ford. A memorial service in celebration of her life will be held at Station Camp Baptist Church, 100 Vantrease Rd., Cottontown, TN, Saturday, February 15, 2020 at 11 AM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to F & M Bank, White House, TN where a fund is being established to benefit her great grandchild.
