Bessie Brown

Bessie Lee Brown, May 26, 2014, age 106. Born January 1, 1908 in Kingston Springs, TN. Daughter of James Richardson and Luella Hay. She was the eldest of 12 siblings. Preceded in death by her Husband, Charles Brown; daughter, Charlce Clark; granddaughter, Lesa Venable. Survived by her sister, Nadine Moffett; granddaughter, Barbara Hightower; great-grandsons, Charles and James Smith; sister-in-law, Katherine Richardson. She was an active Civic volunteer, a member of Two Rivers Baptist Church. She retired from Genesco Company after 51 years of employment. Funeral service will be at Cole & Garrett Funeral Home, Goodlettsville Friday May 30 at 2pm with visitation from 1pm until service time. Interment Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens.
