Alton D. Camplin, Jr., 63, passed away suddenly on Thursday, October 25, 2018. Born, December 30, 1954 in Nashville, he was the son of the late Alton D. Camplin and Virginia Hoover Camplin. A graduate of Hendersonville High School, Alton worked for 27 years at Resource Authority in Gallatin. Always a tinkerer he enjoyed working on things. In his spare time he loved the lake, boating and fishing. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister Lou Ray Stone. He is survived by two sons; Lee Camplin and Luke Camplin; four grandchildren, Layne, Shayne, Taylor and Haley; and his life partner, Phyllis Dunaway. Visitation will be held at Cole & Garrett Funeral Chapel, White House, TN on Wednesday, October 31st from 10 AM to 12 PM followed by a Life Celebration Service at 12 PM. Burial will be at Hillcrest Municipal Cemetery, White House.
