Alice Willis

Alice Willis, a devoted wife, loving mother, and fiercely dedicated grandmother, passed away on August 25, 2023, in Hendersonville, TN. Born on December 11, 1958, in Fort Campbell, KY, Alice touched the lives of everyone she encountered with her kind heart and willingness to help others. She will always be remembered for her incredible warmth and generosity.

 Alice's proudest accomplishment was undoubtedly her grandson, Cameron. She cherished him dearly and embraced the role of grandmother with unwavering love and devotion. Her love for Cameron was evident in every interaction they had and the memories they created together will forever hold a special place in his heart.

Throughout her life, Alice was surrounded by loved ones who meant the world to her. She leaves behind her beloved husband of 45 years, Tommy Willis; their son Chris (Kari) Willis; and grandson Cameron Willis. Alice was an extraordinary wife and mother who brought immense joy and love into their lives.

Alice also had a strong bond with her sisters: Angie (Troy) Hogan and Rita (Denny), as well as her brother Sammy (Lana) Collins. Their sororal connection brought comfort and support during both joyful moments and challenging times.

 In addition to her immediate family, Alice had a best friend named Darlene (Chris) Myers, or known as "Huzz" who held a special place in her heart. Together they shared countless treasured memories filled with laughter and shared experiences that strengthened their unbreakable friendship.

Alice's extended family includes her loyal in-laws Betty and Cleo Willis; Carl (Connie), Andy (Brianna), Gary (Chanda) Willis as well as many other nieces, nephews, friends – all of whom she cherished deeply. Among them were Shelby and Josh Willis who called her, their Aunt "Icee."

Alice spent 25 years, as a house cleaner for Nan Smith. Nan held a special place in Alice's heart and shared spiritual guidance for Alice, and also a mother figure for Alice.

Alice is preceded in death by her son, Charlie Willis; her parents, Billy and Dorris Collins; and sister, Carolyn Collins.

Services in memory of Alice will be held at Cole & Garrett Funeral Home & Cremation Services - Goodlettsville, located at 127 N Main St, Goodlettsville, TN 37072. A visitation will take place on August 29, 2023. Friends and family are invited to come together from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM to pay their respects and remember the beautiful life that Alice led. Her memory will forever live on in the hearts of all those who had the privilege of knowing her.

In her journey through life, Alice exemplified compassion, selflessness, and unwavering love. She leaves behind a remarkable legacy that serves as an inspiration for us all. As we mourn her loss, let us also celebrate the extraordinary woman she was and find solace in the beautiful memories she has granted us. Alice Willis will forever be remembered for the profound impact she made on this world and the countless lives she touched along her journey.
