When mom told me what had happened, i thought at i was just having a very bad dream, but since the last few days its become more and more real…..its been hard for mom, Dealy, and me. But i keep remembering what mom tells me, that the brige we have to walk on is long, and its going to be scary and shaky at first but the thing is both sides are safe and sucure, and daddy…your on the other side waiting for us. Mostly what i would like to say is that the passing of my father has made this hard for me but i havealot of friends that are here for me and myfamily…even the ones who have become like my brothers and sisters over the years, i could name everyone off but the list is endless and im afraid i would leave someone off and i wouldnt want to hurt anyones feelings when it comes to that .i love you all who have been here for me. i love you daddy and you’ll alwaysbe in my heart.

Kurby’s passing is the end of an era in our circle of friends. I met Kurby when I was 17, when Joe Henry brought me over to play Risk. There have been many turns in the road and many years have passed since then. Kurby and Sondra have always been counted among my best of best friends; family. We drifted apart, reconnected, disagreed sometimes, but there was always acceptance, always welcome, and always laughter. Without Kurby, there is a hole in our family.

The loss of a son leaves a hole in the fabric of a family that can never be filled. However, you can keep his spirit alive by always remembering the good memories. One family member can say “Remember when ….” and everyone can join in and share the laughter and the good times. It will keep him part of the family and sharing the love.
