    Dear Family,
I just found out today that Evelyn had passed. I am so sorry to not have known in time to come and pay my respects.

    Johnny, Mickey, Ronnie, Johnnie Mae,
Diane, and all of you and yours have my most heartfelt sympathy.

Evelyn and Johnnie Mae have touched every part of my life. I cannot imagine them not being together, but I am so grateful that they had so much time to be together.

Evelyn could always make you laugh, even in the most dire moments. They broke the mold when they made her. She was such a treasure, and I will always remember her as such. There is a hole in the universe without her.

    I loved Evelyn. I love you,too.
