Our beautiful, fun and wonderful Stacy Kimbrough Nichols (Hunters Lane HS) has left us all too soon and our hearts are devastated. Its so wrong that the ones we love so hard and deep be taken from us without a moment’s notice-be taken from us to a place we cannot see or touch. Its as if the sun refuses to shine for us anymore; we’re plunged into the darkness of the deepest grief.

Stacy’s life with us was so well lived; she radiated loveliness and laughter, grace and compassion to so many of us, whose stories will now be shared.

In this world, where we remain behind we look around at faces everywhere and cannot find a single one to replace her, no one’s voice or touch to heal the wound in our hearts. We wonder once again how we can recover and get through these long days on our own.

For those of us who believe, we return to the feet of the One who told us “Let not your hearts be troubled….I have overcome the world. I will not leave you alone like orphans in the storm. I will come to you.”

Our burning, tear-stained eyes cannot see beyond the present moment, let alone into Eternity. But we kneel today and will soon rise in faith in our God and warm remembrance-and even laughter – in memory of Stacy. We’ll carry her with us until we find ourselves also in the only safe place in the Universe; on the inside of the closed Gates and Heaven. And in that moment and at that site we know we’ll meet and hold her again, in a Day that will never end.

Its in God’s promise. It has Jesus’ proof. It is our everlasting hope and fullest expectation.
We don’t have to understand. We don’t have to accept. And we don’t have to smile…our hearts are crushed. But deep inside we know that somehow all is right and somehow proper…and that our tears of pain that today flow like rivers will turn to a flood of tears of joy when we’re united again.

He did not makes us to live, laugh and get in trouble together only to be torn apart in sudden sadness and grief. Our God is not cruel; He will make it all whole. And we will delight all together forever! Until we meet again our friend-know our world has changed because of and without you. Rest in Peace.

    I love you my friend
