So very sorry to hear this. I heard the news from my mother, Margaret Scott. She shared some great memories about him. Cousin Russell was such a sweet man and I will always remember the times when I was a kid and we visited at his home and with his family. He will be missed and always loved!

I am so sorry to hear of Russ’s death. We worked at AT&T together and I can remember how excited he was to retire. I am so glad that he had an opportunity to enjoy the years of retirement. Russ always was friendly and had a smile for everyone. He talked about his family and there was never a doubt how much he loved them…RIP Russ…your Memphis friend…Gayla Poindexter.

AT&T lost a great employee when Russ retired and the world has lost a gentleman and a person of the highest integrity. Those who had the honor of working with Russ at AT&T were made better by having that opportunity.

My heart broke last night when I found out that our cousin, Russell, had passed away. Even though us cousins through the years had grown far apart, we (Linda, Kenny, and myself) loved Russell and would have been there had we known. To Russell’s family and friends, know that you are in our prayers. We know Russell is walking the street of gold with Jesus and all the family that have gone on before. Our love and deepest sympathy to all.
