And if I go, while you're still here… Know that I live on, Vibrating to a different measure Behind a thin veil you cannot see through. You will not see me, So you must have faith. I wait for the time when we can soar together again, Both aware of each other. Until then, live your life to the fullest And when you need me, Just whisper my name in your heart, I will be there.

In memory of Rubye, she requests that to honor her memory, and to remember her, read or listen to “Desiderata”. As Rubye would say, “Build a bridge across forever”

Great woman that will be sorely missed. Served everyone most humbly and honorably. Probably off to next assignment already.

I met this wonderful lady 41 years ago and what a blessing she has been to me and my family. She had the ability to always see the bright side in every day and then pass that on to others. We love you Granny Rubye and will miss you but will let the memories be a source of comfort and inspiration in the days ahead.

My dearest Gran, the sweetest and best woman that I’ve ever known in my life. She has loved me every day since I came into this world. I have been speaking to her, even though I can’t see her. I know she is loving me and all of us now from heaven. Forever missed ~ Never forgotten.

My sweet Granny Rubye, she taught me how to navigate through all of the difficult times in my life. She was always my best cheerleader and a fountain of knowledge and skill. I have passed down many of the recipes and skills that she loving taught me. I am glad that she is safe in heaven. My heart is heavy, my love is everlasting.

Granny Rubye, although I have met you only a few times, I feel like I know you. I have heard your name every time I speak to June, and have heard all good and wonderful things about you, “Momma”. Your love and spirit has always been evident through June. You were loved and will be remembered by all.

Some of my favorite Granny Rubye quotes, “The truth shall set you free.”; “Listen to the words.”; “Do you have an emergency fund?”. She was always reminding me to be sure I had an emergency fund because you never know when your car is going to break down. I remember the last day I was physically with her we laughed and laughed and laughed. Now, every day at 5:30 PM I’m thinking about ‘Lester’ (we had to watch Lester Holt on the national news), and at 6:30 PM its the ‘Wheel of Fortune’. If you were blessed to be loved by her, know she never forgot about you. I’m grateful to have been so blessed. Our own personal angel has returned to heaven. She will be greatly missed, forever loved, and never forgotten.

    My sweet Granny Rubye,

Words can’t begin to describe what you did for our family, and for everyone else that had the pleasure of knowing you. How you took care of ALL of us and showed us such love, care, and kindness from the time when we were little people to the time when we were grown, and all of the times in between. You created a spot of love in all of our hearts that will forever be yours and no one else’s. We all Love you and miss you so much, but we will see you again one day soon and all be able to hug and kiss you once again, and hold you in our arms and see that loving smile looking back at us. Rest in Peace my Angel Granny Rubye, you will never be forgotten.

    Granny Rubye,
I am so blessed to have been loved by you – the strongest most caring and wisest woman. There will never be enough words to express how much you meant to me. I loved every moment I spent with you. You always listened -never too busy to hear me out, You always encouraged me to speak my mind, express my opinions, and use my imagination . Growing up, I didn’t even know there was a such thing as an inside voice because you just let me express myself. You were a woman before your time, always striving for more knowledge and encouraging others to get it to. You told me once you’d see me over the rainbow, so that’s where I’ll be looking for you. I love you, Leslie Ann
