To Aunt Portia and Ruby’s children:

I send my heartfelt sympathy to you all for the loss of a delightful woman. Over the years of being acquainted with Ruby, my fondest recollections of her are of hearing her infectious laughter where she would laugh so hard that she’d lose her composure after telling any one of her funny stories. She surely could tell some stories, and she surely could make her entire company laugh with her. That was truly the gift of her many gifts that touched me.
