I just recently found out that Mrs. Ricci had passed away and was so sad to hear it. I never got the chance to tell her what a wonderful first grade teacher she was. It is because of her that I now teach in Gallatin. She was not only my teacher but she was a friend. I had just moved here from France with my mother and she took me under her wing and made me love school. If it had not been for her, school would have had a much different meaning for me and I definitely would not have the heart to be a teacher and change other students’ lives. Thank you so much for everything you did for me Mrs. Ricci, I only hope that I will be as good a teacher as you and that through me you will continue to touch little ones!
