Carrie, Bobby, Sammy and Phillip and all the rest of the family,
I will never forget the days of my childhood and the days when our families were so close. Dutch was like a second dad, and he was always the same every time I saw him. The memories will forever be cherished. I love you all and will be praying for your peace and God’s comfort in days and weeks to come.

Mrs Uldrich, boys and family my deepest condolences! You were always such good neighbors. My dad always spoke highly of Dutch and I remember as a kind man. I know he will be missed. My prayers for your family.

Ms Carrie, our family is thinking of you at this time. My grandfather (Harvey Whitaker) and Ray were always happy on their lunch trips together and what a great friendship they shared.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts, M. It’s been a painful week. Tried to preach on it, but co8n7l&#u21d;t quite figure out how. I briefly talked about Dan Savage as an example of choosing gratitude over fear… who knows if it worked or not.I was amazed when the local community theater here in my suburb put on The Laramie Project, about Matthew Shepard and the Laramie community. I was blown away by the play, and although I don’t live in a suburb where GLBT folks are very visible or much welcome, I was glad to see the production put on and felt some hope for the future. I give thanks for your ministry.
