PETTY Meadie Modell McCutchen, age 89, of Hendersonville, passed away October 22, 2008. Mrs. Petty was a longtime member of Hendersonville First Baptist Church. She retired after 22 years of service at J E Weatherford Tool and Die of Nashville. Mrs. Petty was preceded in death by her husband, Wilburn W. Petty and grandson, Nathan Boyd Petty, brother, Raymond McCutchen of White Bluff and sister, Beatrice McCutchen Potts of Nashville. Mrs. Petty is survived by her children, Gary Martha Petty and Dennis W. Suzy Scott Petty of Nashville ; grandchildren, Pamela Ed Coots of Franklin, TN, Gary W. Karen Petty Jr., Darren S. Petty of Nashville and Christopher D. Petty of Franklin, TN.; 4 great-grandchildren, Meredithe, Hannah, Heath and Hayden; sisters, Allene McCutchen Woodard of White Bluff, Myrtis McCutchen Shope of Burns, and daughter-in law, Cheryl Hardcastle Petty of Franklin. Funeral service will be conducted Friday, October 24, 2008, at 11 A.M. from the chapel of Hendersonville Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Hendersonville Memory Gardens. The Petty family will receive friends from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M., Thursday and 1 hour prior to the time of service Friday at Hendersonville Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Hendersonville First Baptist Church Building Fund.
