Clyde, an IDG associate who retired in 2007, passed away Wednesday, January 11, 2012 at the age of 95.
In 1946 Clyde joined Buford Brothers a company IDG purchased in 1998 after returning from World War II where Clyde fought in the Battle of the Bulge. He was a member of George Patton’s tank brigade, liberated several concentration camps and received a Purple Heart.
Clyde was a “Hero” to all.

Clyde was honored in 2006 by a local Nashville TV Station, an ABC News affiliate. They did a news clip on Clyde see link, filmed at IDG Nashville, providing an account of his life, his service to his country and his career at Buford Brothers and IDG. Clyde and his Manager, Tony Aldridge were featured. Tony was asked at the end of the segment, had he ever thought about the day when he would come to work and Clyde wouldn’t be there, after some hesitation and thought, Tony said, “it will be a sad day.” Wednesday was that “sad day”.
