Margaret Lynette Puccini, 59, of White House was called safely home to be with her Lord on Sunday November 12, 2017 surrounded by her family at home. Margaret was born August 10, 1958 in Nashville, the daughter of Ann (Miller) Land and the late Charles Land. She graduated from Hendersonville High School in 1976 and went on to attend and graduate from Austin Peay in 1981. While at Austin Peay she met and married her husband, Jeff Puccini. They married in 1978. Margaret was an artist and taught art at home for more than 25 years. She also home schooled her children. Her love of art extended to various mediums but she was primarily a wood carver. Her family continues to cherish the wooden heart boxes she and Jeff made for them as gifts. In recent years she carved using a chain saw. She created wooden and ice sculptures using this method. For a few years she also ran a wedding photography business with her daughter, Kristin. Margaret was always an athletic person who loved being outdoors. She often hiked and camped with her family and eventually also earned her 2nd degree black belt in karate under the coaching of Jeff. Margaret was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She could often be found playing on the floor with her grandchildren. She was a frugal and selfless individual who derived pleasure from making others happy. Above all, Margaret loved her Lord and was a devout Christian. She wrote letters to each of her family stressing her desire for them to witness to their children as well. Margaret is survived by her husband of 39 years, Jeff Puccini; her mother, Ann Land; her children, Kristin Young (Chase), Brian Puccini, Cody Puccini; grandchildren, McGuire Puccini, Stella Puccini, Luca Puccini, Maggie Lynn Young, Sara and Sammy Parks; Her sister, Patricia Tucker (Bobby); and her brothers, David Land and Dudley Land (Christine). Visitation will be held Thursday from 4 – 8 PM and Friday from 10 – 11 AM at Cole & Garret Funeral Home, White House. A Life Celebration Service will be held Friday at 11 AM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Backpacks at First Baptist Church, Hendersonville.

She was indeed an angel here on earth, and she is singing with them today in heaven. Paul wrote ‘to live is Christ, but to die is gain.’ She has gained freedom from pain and is now in the arms of her Savior. Our thoughts and prayers are with all of you, Jeff. We love you

My sincere heart-felt condolences to you, Jeff, and your family. Maggie was a beautiful woman, inside and out. She brought joy to those around her and touched the lives of many. She was a life-long friend, and sister in the Lord, to Kay. Together, we mourn her passing as we look forward to the Day we’ll all be with Him.

I went school with Margaret at HHS. She always had a smile on her face and was one of the nicest girls I have ever met.
It looks like she had a beautiful life with a beautiful family. I pray you all find the strength and comfort you need at this difficult time.
