Mr. Magee will be missed, he was a joy everytime you saw him. The last time I saw him was at the grocery store and Mike and I stood and talked to him for a long time then we helpd him find the oatmeal that was on sale. He was a charming person to be around. We will miss him

I am Billy McGee?s first cousin. As a young child I remember picking cotton with Billy, his brother Ford, his brother Ben Lewis and my cousin Bob McGee.

Later, Billy joined the navy and served in the Pacific on an aircraft carrier during WW11. My Aunt Mattie, Billy?s mother, took his leaving very hard.

When the war was over Billy stopped by our house and tossed me his navy cap.
Oh, What a thrill that was for me!
We enjoyed hearing him tell his battle stories about the Japanese planes attacking his ship. He served his country well and I honor his memory.

Billy later moved to Nashville and some years later I moved to California. Some time last year I called him and we talked for quite a while and caught up with what had transpired in the intervening years of our lives.

My wife, Jan, and I wish to extend our sympathy to the family.

It’s been almost 6 years since you moved to your new home. We went to visit you a few weeks ago, and i cried a while lot. I am going to camo tomorrow so I just wanted to let you know why im packing my stuff. When I was in Boston, I remembered you as we bought turkey legs from a street vendor. I got into Hume Fogg, and I made a new best friend. Jocelyn is 2 now, and she is crazirer than ever. She can say your name and even point you out in a picture. Im 12 now. Kayla’s 13, and she has braces. Bryson is almost 15, and Hannah is already driving…scary. Mimi claims she drives perfectly but the rest of us have a different opinion. Love ya! TTYL
