Lory Vannatta Bolton, age 54 of Goodlettsville, TN, passed away Monday April 15th 2019 at Skyline Medical Center.
Lory was a loving wife, and adoptive mother grandmother of Ryan Bolton. She was a head strong daughter, always a shoulder to lean on and in times of uncertainty sister, and hell hath no fury cousin should you hurt someone in her family. Lory, (Ni-Ni), was a dedicated and devoted grandmother the past 12 years to her grandson Ryan. She lived being out in nature and was known to be friends with some creepy crawly odd-ball creatures. Her knack for always knowing what perfect goofy gag gift to give will be greatly missed. A Kentucky native, Lory was a long time Tennessee resident. She is preceded in death by her parents Jim Vannatta and Ruth Ann Vanatta. She is survived by her husband of 24 years Peter Bolton, her step daughters Brittany Bolton Bradshaw, Amberly Bolton Gronert, and her grandson Ryan Michael Bolton, her sister Lany Aldridge and husband Glen Aldridge, and her brother Tony Vannatta and wife Pamela Vannatta.
Her celebration of life will be held Saturday April 27th 2019, from 1:00PM to 4:00PM at Ocana Community Center 2265 Long Hollow Pike, Hendersonville, TN. 37075

I wish I could be there. Jessi has prom and I am having a fund raising car wash for meals on wheels that day. I saw Lori last year at Vanderbilt when Gary had one of many appointments. I have good memories of her from our childhood. So sorry for all y’alls loss.

I will always remember Lory. We were all Family by choice. A lot of good memories of Lexington and the times we had. Road trips were always a blast with Lory, Lany and Jim. Lory and Lany filled the sister void that I had. So many memories with all the family. Jim was a second Dad to me and Ruth was always there to lend an ear and to help me in any way she could.. Tony and I were great friends and all those relationships have stood the test of time. I will miss the Christmas cards I always received from Lory and her updates on the family. Fly high girl! I know you are having the time of your life!! Love you always. Thoughts and Prayers for all the family..

I knew Lory when she was in her teens. Such a beautiful girl, and every boy in Lexington wanted to date her. She did have a strong spirit, but she was also gentle as beautiful flowers blowing in the field.
Prayers for your family such a tragic loss. My thoughts are with you during this very sad journey.
