My heart cries knowing the I have lost the two most precious people to me in Goodlettsville…Bro. and Sis. Ford. Although they didn’t have any children They were parents to my mother and father and grandparents to me. Words can not express how much I love them both and will dearly miss them. Sis. Ford will forever be in heart. I thank God for blessing me with her in my life for so many years. My prayers are the family and may the Holy Spirit be your Comforter during your time of loss. Be Blessed. ~ R.Dozier (daughter of Lawrence and Betty Dozier

We loved them like they were our other parents. They watched over our home and children. You could not ask for better neighbors that would do anything asked and we would do the same for them. Our family will miss the walks across the yards, barbecues and fellowship,
Love always Jeff, Ruby and the girls!

My family the Cantrell’s lived next door to the Fords my entire childhood. My parents still live next door. They were our hearts and looked after us. Mrs. Lillie and Mr. Ford were the true testimony of neighbors that helped to raise a village. we love them and will miss them!! Rhonda Cantrell Dunn and family

Aunt Lillie always was an inspiration and a mother to me and Donald she kept us
straight as much as she could and guided us to be hard workers and Uncle Ford
was our enforcer for he was a hard working man as so my dad Jesse :). Aunt
Lille instilled honesty and always try to do the right thing follow your goals and
be humble. O and when she cooked her home cooking I remember how great her
food always smelled and tasted for it would have my mouth watering before I’d
even take my first bite. One day i asked her whats your secret her cooking was
always tender n tasteful she told me low n slow meaning low heat and take your
time cover the pot and simmer. She always kept Donald and I laughing and after Donald had moved away she and uncle Ford would just light up with love when I visited them we would talk n talk before you know it it was dinner time 🙂 I had to keep my strength so yes I ate up. R.I.P. Aunt Lilly you will always be Loved and Remembered. Carey

Mrs.. Lille was a mentor to me as I was growing up without a mother who passed when I was 9 years old. She taught me so much in church as a Sunday School clerk , how to pray, bible study also how to manage at home in my later years.. I will never forget all the things I learned from her and Mr. Ford they were God fearing loving Christians. Mrs. Lille will be truly missed, Love you. Winola.
