Elegant as a flower, beautiful as the sky itself; and heart full as clouds, a icey stairway to heaven she reigns from; her hair waving like the ocean and eyes as beautiful as a star filled night, she brings joy around by her presence, and she disappears the moment I open my eyes, dreaming angel of mine, awake me from the slumbered prison you entrap me everytime I find myself asleep….

Granny Schleis was the way she wanted to be known and so I accepted that but my fondest memories were from my younger years when I recalled her as my Grandma. So many times in my life, her strength, faith and guidance proved how she was always right and wise to know. She was a hostess, counselor, Seamstress, preacher, baby sitter, happy wife, loving mother and grandmother and anyone’s best friend. You are the finest example of what God’s truth can do for any of us in making people genuinely good from the inside of the heart and out. I will not ever forget the things you’ve said and shown. I shall always keep inside the beauty of your love, forgiveness and memory. You are a monument to many and I dearly love you.

Granny and Joe always lended a helping hand to people who needed it. They helped me when I needed a place to stay as a teenager. Granny was a wonderful, forgiving woman of true graciousness. I will always regret not getting to see her before she passed. She was truly a diamond in the rough. I wish my daughter had gotten to know Granny more. She will be truly missed.

    Bobby,
I am so sorry for your loss. My mom too appears to be in her last days and my time 24/7 is to take care of her due to her dementia. I will be unable to leave her by herself, so it is with regrets I cannot attend the viewing or the funeral. I really appreciated that you came when my brother passed and I wish I could see you personally and pass my condolencses. My prayers are with you an your family. Hang it there buddy and I really feel bad about not being able to attend.

We only knew her as Granny. She was such a sweet lady. I loved seeing and visiting with her. From the very first time we meet her she hugged, kissed and told us she loved us. She never treated us like strangers. We will miss her sweet smile.
    With Deepest Sympathy,
