Our sympathy reaches out to Vickie, Whitney, Tucker, mother Linda and other family members. It is difficult to express our feelings for and about Chris A and to his family. We always looked forward to our Simmons family reunions and other functions. We admired Chris A and his life. We will miss him greatly at our future family events.

To the family of Chris A: My thoughts and prayers are with you all. I am so sorry for what you are going through at this time. Having known Chris A since he was in middle school and your family before that, I have fond memories of pickup basketball games on Saturday mornings, watching Chris A develop both on and off the court, into a fine young man.
May our Saviour give each of you His comfort, love and strength.

To the Keen family~I pray the Lord will comfort each of you during this difficult time.Chris was such a wonderful person, a great man. He meant so much to me & I am so thankful for the years I got to know him thru working as a Nurse Manager for DCI. He always had words of wisdom to help me be a more successful manager.I will always cherish the great memories I have of Chris. I saw him for the last time in March when he was visiting Spartanburg clinics. It just so happened that I was at the West clinic when he was there. I heard that deep voice behind me & got up to greet him. As always, he gave me one of those big bear hugs & asked how I was doing & how things were in Union. He was always genuinely concerned about others. My life & my career as a nurse manager was impacted so much by Chris. What a truly amazing man; respected by so many & loved by all who knew him. My deepest sympathy to your family. May God comfort & strengthen you as only He can.

Thinking of you all in your time of sorrow. I remember Chris A. very well. He used to come to White Plains every week to help his Mom. We all couldn’t wait for him to get there! He always played kickball with us and I can see him now rolling that ball for us to kick! He was so very gracious and full of energy. Scottsville and Allen Co. is mourning the loss of one of their boys. I will continually pray for your family. Love Always, Melissa Brady Guy

    Hello, Keen Family,

I wanted to say that I was so very shocked when I found out about Chris’s accident, by way of the upcoming memorial golf tournament in his name. I am truly sorry for your loss.

Chris roomed next door to me in E-Dorm, Furman University, during our freshman year at Furman. He was a great guy, popular, and he had an awesome stereo system. I know that he must have had an amplifier with wattages in the hundreds, because Friday and sometimes Saturday nights I had first hand experience listening to his music through the wall! To this day, one song, Shannon’s “Let the Music Day,” upon hearing this, will instantly take me back to rooming next door to Chris. I must have heard it over a hundred times :-.

I wanted to share this memory with you, and I hope it brings a little cheer to you. He will always remembered.
