Johnny O. Henson, age 72, passed away on November 18, 2016. Johnny was born in Lafayette, TN on October 5, 1944 to the late Arlie Henson and Bertie Henson Ladd. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by two brothers, Willie Neil Henson and Walter Hester; and one sister, Myrtle Love.

Johnny is survived by one sister, Lula Smith (Tom); and several nieces and nephews.

Johnny proudly served in the US Army in Vietnam as a Military Police Officer. He was known as a prankster and loved to tell a joke. He enjoyed spending his time fishing and watching NASCAR racing, along with being an avid Indianapolis Colts fan. His family is comforted in knowing, he was ready to go to Heaven and be with the Lord.

A Life Celebration Service will be held Monday, November 28th at 11:00 A. M. Cole and Garrett Funeral Home in Goodlettsville with Pastor Alan Baggett officiating. Interment will follow at Eulia Cemetery in Macon County TN with family and friends serving as pallbearers. Visitation with the family will be Sunday from 4-8 P.M. and Monday from 10 A.M. until service time.
