I enjoyed the times being around him when my mom took care of him he always made me laugh at the things he would say. I know he’s in Heaven now with all our loved ones and having the time of his life. We love you poppy!!

Popeye was always so happy when he knew it was time to come visit Mike & I for a few days out of almost every month. He would tell us stories of the past in detail. It amazed us how sharp his mind was & how he could remember things so well. He was so cheerful & funny all the time. He will be truly missed. My sympathies are with all of you.

When we were growing up, I remember Popeye being kind, gentle and very easy to talk to…..and always smiling. It is sad to see him go but I’m glad he is at rest. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.
