    Cousin Conree,

    I remember when I was a little girl (maybe 5) I heard someone call you Jessie and the one time I called you Jessie, I almost got a whooping. You said call me Conree! You taught me about respect at an early age. You supported me with every school fundraiser, and always saved me a slice of pound cake! You taught me how to order at Krystal’s and KFC Chicken too. If the bag isn’t hot send it back LOL! I will miss you my dear cousin. Thanks for the laughs and memories. I love you!

    To our pastor, Bishop Larry G. Bender & Family. You always spoke so highly of your “MOTHER.” You always addressed her as “mother’ not mom. We could almost feel the love and respect you had toward her as you smiled when you spoke of her being a strong, loving and caring mother. May each of you receive peace to bring comfort, courage to face the days and weeks ahead and loving memories to forever hold in your hearts.
    You are in our prayers.

    Dear Family;
    When you speak of your Mother speak not with tears for thoughts of her should not be sad. Let the memories of the times you all shared give you comfort for her life was rich because of her Beautiful Children. May God Be With You All.

    I love this family! What a blessing it was living next door to Ms. Bender. She was the best neighbor a kid could have. She would send me to the store (Argo corn starch) and let me keep the change for going. We would frequently borrow or lend a cup of sugar, an egg or two, etc. Our home was her home and her home was ours. She was even there for me when my dog Dandy passed away. She broke the news to me when she found him at the bottom of the hill. When I broke down, she cried with me and told me how sorry she was. I could share so many (pound cake) memories… But I truly do thank and praise God for having grown up in a good neighborhood with a TRUE next door neighbor who always ALWAYS had my back. Claudia, Emma, Deb, Larry, and my childhood buddy Alvin – Love you guys!
    Rest in peace Ms. Bender….
    Much love,
    William Carter, Jr.
