Steve was one of my best friends. We shared our recovery, many hours on the phone, tears, smiles, laughter and many hugs. There will never be another like him. He told me the truth even if it hurt, but he was always looking out for my best interest. I cannot count the times that we would go eat at the Bly Sky Buffet in Goodlettsville after Sweet Surrender. He was a true blessing in my life. He adored my daughter, Allie. She is also saddened by his passing. We both will never forget him! He had a heart of gold. It’s so hard to believe he’s gone.

To the family: My prayers are with you every night. I pray God gives you peace. Mrs. Carney, Steve always spoke about you to me. He loved you so much! If you ever need anything, please give me a call. You can find my phone number in his cell phone. I’m so sorry for your loss. I cannot begin to imagine how hard this must be on you. He loved you all so much!

Steve, I can’t believe you’re gone “in body only”. Your spirit will live on along with your generosity and passion, especially for those in recovery and the fellowship. You will be missed greatly, but never forgotten. Thank you so much for generosity and sharing your home with me for those few months…that I didn’t have to make that long drive home every day. Thank you for being a part of my life. Miss ya buddy. Love always, Sandy
