I could not share the memory as it was not available so sending a memory thru this outlet.
Geneva was a very sweet and kind lady. We were with her and Oscar one weekend at their home where he had his recording studio. We shared one of her wonderful breakfasts and she played the cello for us. She came with Oscar to Vandalia, Ill. where we had booked a show with Lonzo and Oscar and have beautiful pictures of them that we will cherish.
A wonderful lady with a beautiful heart.
    She will be missed greatly.

When I was 8 yrs old my mother Leona Williams went overseas to work with Lonzo and Oscar and I got to stay with Geneva. She was so good to me and taught me to ride horses(Flash and Midnight). I will always remember that we read the bible every night and that is where I first learned Luke 2. I will never forget her. She so blessed my life.

My husband and I had the pleasure of working with Geneva when she accompanied Oscar to the Country’s Family Reunion taping. We also visited with her at their house in Greenbrier. She was a smart, lovely, sweet, funny woman and we will always treasure having spent time with her. We just found out about her passing when we arrived home last night. Our hearts go out to her family.

My brother, Shawn and I had the pleasure of spending a few days with Aunt Geneva when we were kids. She took us to Opryland. She was a very sweet lady and I admired her grace. She will be missed.

Even though Geneva didn’t have children of her own, she was an important part of my childhood. She would take in nieces and nephews as well as orphans and make them feel special. Geneva was a mother to many children. That is a special gift that will be missed in this world.
