Gary Odell Bates, born on December 12, 1953 to the late Robert Odell Bates and Eva Vetetoe Bates, passed away on December 27, 2018. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Steve Bates. Survived by his daughters, Nikki (Josh) Ryman, Jessica (Kasey) Boatright, and Katlin (William) Blankenship; son, Jason (Amy) Patrick; twenty grandchildren; step-mother, Billie Jean Bates; sisters, Angie (Jim) Holloway and Cheryl (Rick) Smith. Celebration of life will be at Temple Baptist Church in White House on Monday December 31 at 1pm with visitation from 12 Noon until service time.

    Hadn’t seen Gary in. a long time, but remember him as a key to many of the things we did at WHHS. Cherie and I join you in grieving his loss and offering prayers for his family.

    We are very sorry to hear about the loss Gary my husband Billy Miller started out working for Gary trimming houses a long time ago .Billy has his own Business now but they went on fishing trips together a few times ,and had a close friendship . Billy thought alot of him ,we didn’t find out until just a couple of days ago that he had passed , He was a great person he will be missed. Keeping you all in our thoughts and prayers .
